File Management and Databases

Securely upload, download, extract, and repair permissions, and manage site database backups, restores, and WordPress addresses.

File Management

  • Supports chunked upload, remote import, download, copy, move, rename, compress, and extract.
  • Online extraction checks the archive size, number of files, paths, and file types. If it exceeds the panel limit, the page will explain the reason and provide a copyable SSH manual extraction command.
  • Before manually executing the extraction command, still verify the source of the archive and the target directory, and do not directly run commands from unknown sources.
  • File operations are limited to the website directory; do not attempt to access files outside the website scope through symbolic links.
  • After migration or manual file overwriting, run „Fix Permissions“ to make the files belong to the site„s isolated user again.

Database Details

Databases correspond one-to-one with websites. The detail page allows you to view size, change password, detect table prefix, sync wp-config.php, adjust WordPress site address, and perform backup, restore, or empty operations.

Emptying and restoring will overwrite database content. Before operating, confirm that the website, backup file, and target database correspond exactly, and first save any data that is still valuable.

Temporarily use Adminer

When you need to directly view or edit data tables, you can temporarily enable Adminer on the database detail page. WordPress sites can automatically enter the corresponding database; general PHP sites need to manually enter the database password.

  • Can be enabled for up to 5 websites at the same time.
  • You can choose to automatically disable after 15, 30, or 60 minutes, or choose no time limit.
  • After use, you should immediately manually disable it, and do not keep the entry open for a long time.
  • The entry is still protected by the panel's random security entry, BasicAuth, and login session.
Adminer can directly modify or delete database content. Beginners should only use it when there are clear operation steps and a usable backup.

Checks after manual migration

  1. Import SQL backup.
  2. Detect and sync WordPress table prefix.
  3. Confirm database account matches wp-config.php.
  4. Update the WordPress site address if necessary.
  5. Fix file permissions, clear cache, and check permalinks, media, and backend login.

Search Files

File management supports searching by file name. You can choose to search only the current directory or include all subdirectories.

  • Search only matches file names and does not read file contents.
  • Subdirectory search has a limit on the number of results. If there are too many results, the page will indicate that the results may be incomplete. It is recommended to narrow down the keywords or directory scope and try again.
  • Search results allow you to directly locate the directory where the file resides or download the file. For batch operations such as copy, move, or compress, please return to the corresponding directory.

Cross-site move encounters source site re-lock

A cross-site move first copies content to the target site, then cleans up the source site item by item. Before deleting each source item, the panel re-checks whether the source site still allows writes.

If a temporary maintenance window expires during the copy, or the source site is re-locking or has already re-locked, the panel will not continue deleting that source item. Instead, it will display „Move not fully completed“ and retain copies on both the source and target sites. Please first verify that files on both ends are complete, then manually clean up unneeded copies after writes are re-enabled on the source site.

Do not assume the source file has been deleted just because the target file exists. A single recursive deletion that has already begun cannot be guaranteed to be revoked midway.
